I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it for myself. This woman is just incredible. They have to be related somehow. Being a product of SC, I know personally that the quality of education must have declined to an all time low if she is representing it.

My new hero
Not only can this guy act, but he has a conscience and intelligence to boot. Long live Jason Bourne.

I can beat you w/ one leg tied behind my back - no joke
This guy is simply incredible, but I didn't need to tell you that. You already knew. The difference is, I knew it when he was ten. Now the world knows it also.

Kobe = MVP
Finally, the NBA has recognized the most prolific player in the league. The munchkin, David Stern, had to finally accept the truth and quit kissing Tim Duncan's butt for one minute to officially call Kobe Bryant what he truly is, the world's best basketball player. I don't know what measurements they have been using in years past, but I was about to boycott the NBA hadn't they come to their senses. Clearly they had a serious bias toward Steve Nash and Tim Duncan over the past few years. I thought Stern was in love with those guys because clearly they weren't the best player, not when another guy is shattering all kinds of records. 81 points in one game from a guard (or any position for that matter) is no joke, even if they were just letting him do it. I personally think the guy (KB) is part Jedi, because he clearly had the entire Toronto Raptors team hypnotized that night. Though it is 5 years late, Congrats Kobe.
Note: My apologies to munchkins everywhere, I didn't mean to insult you by comparing you to the ewok David Stern.
Even though they were burned in the finals this year '08, I believe that they will rise from the ashes like the Phoenix and bring glory to the city of Angels once again.

"Awesome Speech your holiness"
The mockery of the presidency has reached a new high as of late. George Bush referred to the Pope's speech as "awesome" in that crazy, but beautiful Texas twang (I love most Southern dialects). He also referred to the current recession as "a rough patch". Google it and see. "We're just going through a rough patch." You really can't blame him such a removed view of the world or even the common American for that manner. His dad was clueless too. Clinton's (Bill that is) campaign motto against him (George Sr.) was: It's the economy stupid. If I had $100 for every Bushism (or verbal blunder) this guy has made in the last 8 years, I am sure I would beat out Bill Gates as the world's second richest man.

What's wrong with this picture
http://atlantaballet.com/about/co_artists.htm
I thought it strange when I saw this on the web. Unless I overlooked someone of color, surely this must be a different Atlanta than the one I visited this past weekend (14 April 2008). Granted, I do know that there aren't that many ballet dancers of color. I thought (at least) in the "black" mecca of the south - surely there would be one. Perhaps, we have not progressed as far as I would like to think.

Embarrassed Queen City
The city of Charlotte (more specifically, Mecklenburg County) has greatly embarrassed itself recently. They couldn't even elect a sheriff properly. Do I really want to be living here, (I still do despite their incompetence). Forgive the the poor Mecklenburg County Commissioners I expect that they all (except Valerie Woodard, she did the right thing and voted with the people) will be looking for jobs in November. Didn't they learn from Lynn Wheeler? Remember her voting against the voice of the people and building the Bobcats arena (I sure hope they gave Bob Johnson gave her lifetime passes to all events there). Where is she now? Out of elected office, that's where.

Welcome to the Real World
Now that you are awake , you must be anxious for me to show you the answers that you longed for. But first I must ask, when you have the answers - what will you do?
